Usually, I dismiss stories like this. But in these troubled times, I think all of us need a reason to believe.

Both CNN and ABC are reporting that an Indiana woman named Lori Johnson was in for the surprise of her life when she took in a couple of stray cats that were wandering around in her front yard this past Mother’s Day. Although both kitties appeared to be in decent health when discovered by Johnson, one of them, which she named "Sissy," turned out to be truly remarkable. Johnson, and many people who have made the journey to view the feline, are convinced that a swirl of fur between its eyes looks exactly like a detail from the Shroud of Turin!

It’s a little difficult to detect in this first picture:

But in close-up, I think you’ll agree that there’s something truly miraculous going on here:

It should be noted that some people see George Harrison on the cover of “All Things Must Pass."

Sissy had no comment, as she was busy pooping in a box in the kitchen.
