Wall of Paul

After a five year pause for refreshment- welcome, everybody. I imagine that many of you are visiting Wall of Paul because you enjoyed my movie coverage back when I wrote for CNN.com and goodauthority.org. Well, I'm ready to plunge into the abyss once again. New pieces of writing will be a bit sporadic here...for a little while, anyway. But I'll eventually get my swing back, and we'll return to pondering why movies really do matter, even when our popular culture as a whole resembles a steaming pile of horse manure wearing a Carmen Miranda hat.

A very big thanks goes out to my Austin-based buddy, Tim Trentham, of thechunk.com, who maintained an archive of my work for several years (following in the footsteps of Whitney Freemesser) and is responsible for programming our current archive.
